Within the Mevo app settings, you'll find toggles for both Power External Devices and Power On/Off with USB Cable.
Enabling Power External Devices allows Mevo Start to power accessories like audio adapters or microphones that require external power.
The Power On/Off with USB Cable option lets your Mevo Start power on automatically when connected to a power source. This is ideal for ceiling or wall mounts where accessing the physical power button is difficult.
Mevo Start supports Ethernet through the USB-C port using the Mevo PoE Adapter, which supplies both data and power.
If you're not using PoE, third-party adapters may also allow for Ethernet via USB-C. Note that you may need to toggle "Power External Devices" if the adapter draws power from the camera.
External USB microphones or audio interfaces can be connected through the USB-C port. If your device isn’t self-powered, you may need to enable "Power External Devices" in the Mevo settings.
Only plug-and-play (driverless) USB audio devices are supported. If your device requires special drivers or software, it will not work with Mevo.
You can connect your Mevo Start to a Windows or Mac computer via USB-C to use it as a wired webcam for video conferencing or broadcasting software.
