If you've already connected to your Mevo camera, you can still change how the camera connects—whether you want to switch from Hotspot to Wi-Fi or vice versa. This is useful if you’ve moved to a new location, are troubleshooting a network, or simply want a more reliable connection option.
Open the Mevo mobile app, tap the More Options icon, then tap the gear icon to enter Settings.
Tap Network to open your camera’s connection settings.
If you're currently using the Mevo Hotspot and want to switch to a Wi-Fi network:
Your Settings > Network screen will look like this:
Tap Disconnect to change my Mevo Camera’s Wi-Fi network. The camera will disconnect and reset its connection status.
After a moment, you can tap Configure Mevo and choose your local Wi-Fi network. For full instructions, see our guide on connecting to a Wi-Fi network.
If your camera has connected to this Wi-Fi network before, it will automatically reconnect.
If you're on a Wi-Fi network and want to switch to the Mevo Hotspot:
Your network settings will indicate you're connected to Wi-Fi. Tap Disconnect to change Mevo’s Wi-Fi network.
The camera will disconnect and update its status. Then, tap Change Connection Type.
You will now see options to select your new connection type. If you are not using Ethernet, select Wi-Fi / Cellular Data.
If your camera is connected via Ethernet, you will instead see the Wi-Fi / Ethernet option.
To switch to Hotspot mode, follow the steps outlined in our Hotspot setup article.
