Apple M1 Products
Mevo Wired Webcam mode for M series products requires the following versions.
Mevo App 4.3.1 & Firmware version 4.3.5 or newer
As of July 27th, 2020, you can now use your camera as a web camera. This enables you to use any of your Mevo cameras with your favorite software. e.g. Video conferencing software such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Discord or Video Switching software like Livestream Studio, vMix, and OBS. The webcam feature is still in its early stages so you'll notice a some limitations but we can assure you we are working diligently to add features, functionality and compatibility across all Mevo cameras.
Please note that there are compatibility limitations with certain 3rd party software and specific camera models, so please read through all of the directions and limitations below before setting up your camera as a webcam.
UVC stands for "USB Video Class" which is a USB driver for cameras to be used via USB. This allows the camera to be used as a wired webcam. UVC functionality requires that the camera is plugged in to your computer similar to how you would use a traditional webcam. Note that you will no longer be able to record or stream while using the Mevo Start camera as a wired webcam. No downloads are necessary.
