The Mevo Start camera has the ability to create a full quality backup recording of your stream that is not reliant to your network connection so it will not be affected by any dropped frames or network issues of that nature. This gives you peace of mind knowing your important content is safeguarded no matter the situation.
Bitrate customization is currently only available for the Mevo Start camera.
To access these settings, go into your general settings and press Audio & Video as shown below.
To enable the feature, you can toggle the backup recording shown below.
Backup Recording Options
You can select from the following two format options for your backup recording.
- MP4, H.264, Audio: AAC
- MP4, HEVC, Audio: AAC
Recording Resolution Options
You can select from any of the following resolutions for your backup recording.
- 1080p
- 720p
- 480p
- 360p
Recording bitrate
Ensure you select a bitrate that your microSD card can support. Your Class 10 microSD card should have a write speed that meets or exceeds the bitrate you have selected.
- Default Setting- 20Mbps
- Minimum-1.2Mbps
- Maximum- 50Mbps
