Effective April 27, 2020
The current "Mevo - The Live Event Camera App" will be discontinued. This is the final step Mevo Inc must take to complete the transition entirely from Vimeo. To read more about Mevo becoming its own independent company you can read the article below.
What does this mean? How does it affect me?
Mevo 2.0 features support for the new Mevo Start camera LinkedIn & Twitch streaming, as well as a number of bug fixes.
The Android transition is automatic, nothing is required by the user.
iOS Users: The current Mevo app owned by Vimeo has been deleted from the Apple App Store and will no longer be updated. You will need to download the new Mevo App from the Apple App Store to continue to receive updates. We've included the icons below to show the old and new app to ensure you have the proper app installed. The new app is called, "Mevo 2.0".
You can download Mevo 2.0 below
Users who use the Mevo camera app with no paid features can continue to use the current app for as long as they wish. It won't receive any updates and that could cause it to fail over time. The app will be removed from the Apple App Store, so if it is deleted you won't be able to recover it. You will be prompted to switch to the new app regularly with a prompt similar to the one shown here.
As part of the transition, all in-app subscriptions are being moved to the new app. Your current subscription will remain active until your next renewal date, at which point you can resubscribe in the new Mevo 2.0 app.
To ease the transition, we have enabled a 30-day grace period. You may continue using your plan for one month after it expires. We are also offering a free month on subscriptions in Mevo 2.0.
Download the new app now, and you will be asked to resubscribe at the end of your grace period.
