How it works
The Mevo Mic app communicates with Mevo the same way the Mevo app can. You can either connect to the Mevo's Wi-Fi hotspot, or you can connect to the same local Wi-Fi network to which both the Mevo and the device running the Mevo app are connected.
Using this app on a supported mobile device, you can bring in sound from another phone's built-in microphone, a supported external audio device, or any Bluetooth audio device (provided your phone or tablet supports it).
If you have a Vimeo Producer or Premium membership, you can add up to three (3) mobile devices as audio sources via the Mevo Mic app. Mevo users without these memberships can add up to one (1). This would be in addition to the built-in microphone on the camera itself and any audio sources you have plugged into your Mevo mobile device or Mevo Boost.
Installing and Configuring the Mevo Mic App
Search for "Mevo Mic" in the App Store or Google Play and download the app. Once the app finishes downloading to your device, you can launch it.
In order for the app to work, you will need to allow it to access your mobile device's microphone. Tap the Allow button to prompt the permission request message to pop up.

After granting permission, the app will prompt you to connect to the same network as your Mevo if you haven't done so already. Navigate to your device's Wi-Fi settings and connect to the same network the Mevo is currently using (either the Mevo Hotspot or the same local Wi-Fi network). This will allow all devices to communicate with each other.

Once Mevo and the Mevo Mic are on the same connection, the Mic App will indicate if any Mevo cameras are detected and prompt you to connect the mic to the Mevo app and configure additional settings.
