You can connect your Mevo camera to enterprise Wi-Fi networks that use WPA or WPA2-Enterprise encryption. These networks typically require a username, password, and additional authentication settings provided by your IT administrator. This guide will walk you through the full process in the Mevo Camera App.
Before You Begin
- Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your iOS device.
- Make sure you have the correct network credentials and security protocol details (EAP Method and Phase 2 authentication) from your network or IT administrator.
Step 1: Open the Mevo App and Start Wi-Fi Setup
Launch the Mevo Camera App. From the camera connection card, tap the blue Stream via Wi-Fi button at the bottom.
Step 2: Choose Your Enterprise Network
A list of nearby Wi-Fi networks will appear. Select the network name (SSID) provided by your organization or IT team.
Step 3: Enter Enterprise Network Credentials
If the selected network is configured as WPA/WPA2 Enterprise, the app will display a login form requiring authentication details.
Enter the following:
- Username – Assigned by your network administrator
- Password – Associated with the above username
Step 4: Configure Security Settings
In addition to the username and password, you may be required to adjust the security settings depending on your network configuration:
- Mode / EAP Method – For example, PEAP, TLS, or TTLS
- Phase 2 Authentication – For example, MSCHAPv2 or GTC
These settings must be provided by your IT administrator. Enter them exactly as instructed to avoid connection failures.
Step 5: Finalize and Connect
Once all fields are complete, tap Done. The app will attempt to connect the Mevo camera to the network. This may take a few seconds.
When successful, you’ll see the camera’s LED ring turn solid green, indicating a stable network connection.
Tap Connect Mevo to complete the setup and enter the live production screen.
Important Notes About Enterprise Networks
Mevo cameras cannot connect to networks with captive portals. These are networks that require login via a pop-up web browser (common in hotels, cafes, and convention centers). Since the Mevo Camera App does not include a browser, these networks are not supported.
