Corner bug overlays allow you to add persistent branding or informational graphics to your broadcast or recording, such as your company logo, sponsor icons, or a watermark. These static images appear in one of the top corners of your video and are especially helpful for reinforcing your brand or adding a professional touch.
Requirements
You must have a supported microSD card inserted into your Mevo camera to use overlays.
-
In the live edit view of the Mevo app, tap the canvas icon in the bottom-right corner to access overlays.
-
On the overlays screen, you’ll see options to place a bug in either the top-left or top-right corner of your video. Tap the icon for the corner where you’d like your graphic to appear.
-
When prompted, allow Mevo access to your device's photos and camera. You can then select an image from your photo library or take a new photo on the spot.
-
Once you've chosen an image, you can adjust the crop, zoom, and rotation. Use the rotation icon to rotate the image 90 degrees at a time or use the slider to fine-tune the angle (up to 45 degrees). The bug will be placed within a square format, so adjust your image accordingly.
When you're happy with the adjustments, tap the checkmark icon to continue.
Overlays cannot be edited after they’re added. Make sure you're satisfied with how it looks before confirming.
-
Your new corner bug will now appear in the overlay list and upload to your microSD card. Tap the image to activate it in your preview screen.
-
The bug will appear in the chosen corner. If you change your mind, tap the icon on the opposite side to move it. Once you're ready to commit, tap the checkmark in the lower right to confirm the overlay.
-
The corner bug will not be visible in the live edit view, but you will see it in your output monitor, confirming it’s live in your broadcast.
-
To remove the corner bug, tap the canvas icon again. Tap the red trash icon next to the bug and confirm with the checkmark.
Tip
The bug graphic stays saved in the Mevo app and on your microSD card, so you can reuse it later. Removing it will not delete the file. These changes will not interrupt your live broadcast, making it safe to make updates mid-stream.
