Requirements!
You will need a supported microSD card inserted into your Mevo camera to use this feature.
Full Screen Overlay
From the live edit view, tap the graphics overlay icon in the bottom-right corner.
Tap the + button in the middle of the screen.
Choose your overlay type: Slide, Presentation, or Countdown. Select Slide for a basic full-screen overlay.
Design your overlay. Choose a solid background color with text, or tap the camera icon to use an image from your device’s photo gallery.
Mevo Plus users: Do not adjust opacity. Modifying opacity disables full screen compatibility.
If using an image, crop and rotate it as needed to fit the 16:9 display. Then tap the checkmark to confirm.
Use formatting tools to align and style your text. When finished, tap the checkmark to save your overlay to the microSD card.
Once saved, tap the overlay to preview it and then tap the checkmark to display it in your live output.
The overlay will now appear in your program output monitor.
To remove it, return to the graphics screen, tap the red minus icon, and confirm by tapping the checkmark.
Tip: Full screen overlays are great for transitions between segments, adding breaks or countdowns, and giving your audience a professional and polished visual cue.
Over-the-Shoulder Overlay
To begin, tap the graphics overlay icon in the live edit view.
Tap the + icon on the left or right OTS slot.
Select Slide to create a simple OTS overlay.
Adjust background and text colors using the color palette. Set alignment and opacity as desired, then type your text in the editor.
Tap the camera icon to add an image. Grant access to your photos if prompted.
After selecting your image, crop and align it as needed. Add your text overlay and style accordingly. When finished, tap the checkmark to save.
You cannot edit OTS graphics after saving. Be sure everything looks right before confirming.
Your graphic will be saved to the microSD card. Tap it from the list to preview.
To switch OTS sides, tap the alternate preview box. Then confirm to push it live.
Your OTS will appear in the output monitor, though it won’t be visible in the edit view.
To remove it, return to the graphics screen, tap the red delete icon, and confirm. The overlay will still be saved for future use.
Tip: OTS overlays are perfect for interviews, news-style reports, or breaking down key talking points. Try adding sponsor logos or contextual images to elevate your production quality.
