If your Mevo camera doesn’t appear in the Mevo App, you can manually connect it using one of the following methods:
- Using the default IP address for Hotspot Mode
- Using the camera’s IP address from your local network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)
- Using the last 5 characters of the camera's serial number (iOS only)
All three options use the same manual entry screen within the app, shown below.
Option 1: Hotspot Mode (Default IP)
- Power on your Mevo camera.
- Open the Mevo App. At the “Switch on your Mevo” screen, tap IP in the bottom-right corner.
- Enter 192.168.17.1 and tap OK.
This IP only works in Hotspot Mode. It will not work for Wi-Fi or Ethernet connections.
Your camera should now appear in the app to connect.
Option 2: Local Wi-Fi or Ethernet
If your camera is connected to the same network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet (Mevo Boost), follow these steps:
- Find your camera's IP address from your router, DHCP server, or connected device list.
- Open the Mevo App. Tap IP at the “Switch on your Mevo” screen.
- Enter the IP address from your network and tap OK.
Do not use the default Hotspot IP in this case. It will not work on a local network.
Your camera should now populate in the app to connect.
Option 3: Using Serial Number (iOS Only)
- Flip your camera over and locate the serial number (under the camera for Mevo Plus, on the back for Mevo Start).
- Write down the last 5 characters of the serial number.
- In the Mevo App, tap IP at the “Switch on your Mevo” screen.
- Enter the last 5 characters and tap OK.
Your camera should now appear in the app to connect.
