Connect to Computer using NDI

The Mevo Start can connect wirelessly to your computer and be used as a webcam via NDI. This article will guide you through the steps to get started.

Before you begin, make sure of the following:

  1. Both the camera and your computer are connected to the same network.
  2. You have enabled NDI Mode in the Mevo App. (See how)
  3. You have downloaded and installed the latest version of NewTek’s NDI Tools. Download here

NDI Tools System Requirements

- Windows Vista or later (64-bit recommended)
- macOS X or newer
- Intel Core i3 or better (i5+ recommended)
- 6GB RAM or more
- NDI Screen Capture requires DirectX 11 compatible GPU
- NDI Webcam Input requires Windows 7 or later

MAC WINDOWS

Open Spotlight Search (CMD+Spacebar) and search for NDI Virtual Input.

Select your Mevo camera from the NDI menu in the top system tray.

Check Point

Confirm your video signal is working by launching NewTek NDI Video Monitor.

Go to File and select your camera by serial number.

Your camera feed will appear in a new window.

If you don't see a video signal, go back and double-check your network and NDI setup.

Before continuing, close the NewTek NDI Video Monitor to avoid audio feedback.

Open your video conferencing software (e.g., Zoom) and go to the settings menu.

Select NDI Video as your camera source.

To use your Mevo camera’s microphone, select NDI Audio from the Microphone menu.
