All Mevo cameras can be mounted to standard tripods or microphone stands using the included adapter. This adapter is attached to the bottom of your Mevo camera (Mevo Start) or the mount (Mevo Plus / 1st Gen) out of the box.
Understanding the Thread Types
The included metal adapter has two different thread sizes:
- 1/4"-20 UNC – Standard tripod thread
- 3/8"-16 – Common microphone stand thread
Additionally, the Mevo mount itself includes a 5/8"-27 microphone stand thread, meaning you may not need the adapter depending on your setup.
Step-by-Step: Mounting Your Mevo
1. Remove the protective label
Peel off the sticker from the bottom of the mount to access the adapter.
2. Remove or adjust the adapter
Use a coin or flat-head screwdriver to remove or flip the adapter as needed. Turn it counter-clockwise to unscrew.
3. Match the correct thread to your stand
Determine the thread size your stand or tripod uses. If needed, flip the adapter so the correct thread is on the bottom, then screw it securely into the mount.
The official Mevo Stand fits the 5/8"-27 built-in thread without the adapter. If you're using the swivel mount included with the stand, use the adapter with the 1/4" thread facing outward.
4. Secure the camera to your tripod or stand
Place the Mevo on your stand or tripod and twist it clockwise until it's firmly attached.
