Yes, all Mevo cameras support recording to a microSD card. However, how the recording works depends on your camera model.
Using an older Mevo?
On the original Mevo and Mevo Plus, your camera records a copy of your livestream directly to the microSD card. The resolution of this recording will match the quality of your stream.
Own a Mevo Start?
The Mevo Start supports simultaneous recording and streaming. You can configure your microSD recording quality independently of your livestream quality. This means you can stream at one resolution while keeping a higher-quality version saved locally. Learn how to customize your high-quality backup here.
Option 1: Enable Recording Before You Go Live
Before starting your stream, tap the SD Card icon on the Destinations screen in the Mevo app. This enables local recording during your stream and allows you to select the desired recording resolution.
Option 2: Automatic Backup Recording
If you forget to enable the SD card recording manually, don’t worry. The Mevo app will still create a backup recording during your livestream and save it to the microSD card at the same resolution as your stream.
After the stream ends, the app will ask whether you want to keep the recording. We recommend keeping this setting enabled so you always have a local backup.
