Your First 5 Steps with Mevo Start

Congratulations on joining the Mevo community. This quick guide will help you begin live streaming with both Mevo Start and Mevo Core cameras.

1. In the Box and Camera Basics

Whether you have a Mevo Start or Mevo Core, each camera includes essential accessories to get you going. Be sure to review the quick start guide packaged with your specific model.

2. Connecting to the Mevo Camera App

Next, download and install the Mevo Camera App on your smartphone or tablet:

Both Mevo Start and Mevo Core can connect to the internet through a local WiFi network, a 4G LTE cellular data connection , or Ethernet. Learn more in The Different Ways Mevo Connects to the Internet .

3. Basic Gestures and Camera Assistant

The Mevo Camera App lets you zoom, pan, and cut between shots in real time, creating a multi-camera effect from a single device. Camera Assistant can also automate certain features to make your production smoother.

4. Setting Up Streaming Destinations

Log in or create accounts for popular streaming platforms within the Mevo App to broadcast your live events. You can also use the NDI HX feature (Mevo Start only) to connect with software like OBS, Ecamm Live, and vMix. Learn more about NDI here .

5. Using Mevo Cameras as a Webcam

Both Mevo Start and Mevo Core can function as webcams. This allows you to integrate them with video conferencing services on your desktop, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
