Built-In Cameras

The fastest and easiest Live Sources you can add to Mevo Studio, are the built in cameras available on your mobile device. Instantly add one of the cameras on it's own or couple it with 1 or many other types of inputs to create multi-camera content.

Webcam & UVC (iOS Only)

The Webcam & UVC Inputs feature allows you to connect UVC devices directly to your iPadOS 17+ device or multiple UVC devices through a USB hub. Logitech products are free to use, but non-Logitech devices require Mevo Pro.

  1. Plug in the device to the device using Mevo Multicam.
  2. Open the Library, you've device should automatically be recognized.
  3. Simply tap Connect

Important: If using a USB hub, only one of the inputs' audio will be used.

NDI

NDI, which stands for Network Device Interface, is a technology developed by NewTek that enables high-quality, low-latency video and audio transmission over standard networks. This allows you to bring in various types of audio and video sources (i.e. presentations, games, videos, etc.) via a standard local network both wired and wirelessly.

NDI Input Requirements / Settings

  • NDI | HX Inputs
  • NDI SpeedHQ Inputs are supported but not recommended since it requires such high bandwidth and a powerful device. Sending video this way will have a poor experience but sending static images should work fine.
  • We recommend you set the resolution and framerate no higher than 1080p 30fps and 8-10 Mbps. Remember, your mobile device is the decoder/encoder for your production. Too high of a setting may cause video stuttering or frame drops.

Adding an NDI source as an input.

  1. Open Library. Mevo Studio will automatically search for any available NDI sources that are on your network.

  1. Image Control: If your device supports PTZ controls, you can pan, tilt, zoom, focus and zoom settings. You can also create presets by adjusting your cameras PTZ/Focus or zoom and then long holding 1 of the present numbers to save.

  2. Settings: toggle low bandwidth mode or change the framing.

Low Bandwidth Mode: Designed to optimize network usage when transmitting NDI streams over limited bandwidth networks. When enabled, Low Bandwidth Mode reduces the amount of network traffic generated by NDI streams by compressing the video data. This compression helps to conserve bandwidth, allowing for smoother transmission and reducing the likelihood of network congestion.

Framing with Fit: Fit will scale the video source to fit within the receiver's display area while maintaining the aspect ratio.

Framing with Fill: Fill will scale the video source to fit the display area ignoring the aspect ratio, which can cause the footage to appear skewed and distorted.

  3. Audio & Video Delay: If you're having issues with your NDI sources being in sync with your other inputs, use the Audio * video Delay options to make sure all inputs are aligned. Sometime network limitations can cause your NDI sources to be ahead or behind you other sources.
